Betty Lou Wilson was born on December 27, 1937 in Havanna Florida to the late Nellie Jackson and Sim Johnson. On Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at age 81 she went home to be with the Lord in the Christiana Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Betty was a member of Mt. Zion Greater Harvest Ministries for more than 50+ years, where she served faithfully on the Ushers and was the President Emeritus, she also served on the Scholarship Committee.
She loved to travel to places like Puerto Rico, the Bahamas and Vegas, just to name a few. She also loved to shop and enjoyed spending quality time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings.
Betty leaves to cherish her memory leaves a daughter, Dr. Keena Brittingham (Steve), 5 grandchildren Leon WIlson, Charles Brittingham Jr., Christopher Brittingham, Shaquan Brittingham and Quincy Brittingham; loving and devoted nephew and nieces, Ernest Wilson, Elder Deana Wilson and Sheena Carr and a loving devoted sister Davetta Walker and friend host of other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 11am, Tuesday, July 16 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 2200 N. Claymont St., Wilmington, DE 19801; viewing 9-10:45am.
Her burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2200 North Dupont Highway, New Castle, Delaware 19720.
