Brent McCall Brown, age 47, departed this life on November 24, 2017.  He was born on May 11, 1970, to the union of James J. Brown, Jr. and Carol Scott.  He had worked as a Server in the restaurant industry.

Brent completed studies in Business Management at Bucks County Community College.  His early education was in the Council Rock School District in Newtown, Pennsylvania, where he had played football.

He enjoyed religious studies, physical fitness, outdoor sports, auto mechanics, landscaping design, and chess.  He mentored and chaperoned many youth from various churches in Delaware. He had also been a special events volunteer for the American Cancer Society.

Brent was a top server at many restaurants and fine dining establishments in Delaware and Pennsylvania, including Pasta Brio in Christiana Mall, Newark, Delaware, Wilmington Country Club in Delaware, Polidoros Italian Grill, New Castle, Delaware, Seafood Shanty in Langhorne and Doylestown, Pennsylvania, International House of Pancakes, Neptune, New Jersey, Chesapeake Inn of Chesapeake City, Maryland, Chart House in Philadelphia, PA, and the McCormick & Schmitt Restaurant Chain.

Brent was preceded in death by his father, James J. Brown, Jr. and one brother, Michael Scott (Denise).

He leaves to cherish his precious memory one son, Makai McCall Braxton-Brown; his mother, Carol Scott of Middletown, Delaware; brother, James J. "JJ"  Brown, III (Sharon); a nephew Derreck Michael Scott; aunts, Donna Murphy and Lucretia Scott; uncles, Alexander (Shirley) Arthur Sr. (Therresa), Douglas (Janet), Moses (Karen), Lewis (Charlesetta), and Clarence (Shellye) Scott; a host of cousins, other family and friends.

Funeral Service will be 11 am, Wednesday, November 28th, at Congo Funeral Home, 2317 N. Market Street, Wilmington, DE 19802.  There will be no viewing.  Interment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, West Chester, PA.
