Carolyn Lorraine Jackson

September 8, 1942 ~ April 10, 2018 (age 75)

Carolyn Lorraine Jackson was born on September 8, 1942, in Easton, Maryland to the late George H. Jackson and the late Fannie V. Jackson (Ewing). Carolyn gained her wings on April 10, 2018, surrounded by family and friends.

Carolyn received her early education in the Wilmington Public School system. She attended Howard High and completed her high school education at Wilmington High. After high school she pursued a career in the healthcare field as a Home Health Aide. Later she obtained employment at General Motors from which she retired after 16 years; then eventually she returned to the healthcare field. Carolyn then became an entrepreneur by starting her cleaning business, "At Your Service with Anointed Hands" and her Spiritual T Shirt line. Later on in her life, she obtained her Bachelors Degree in Theology of Arts from Jameson Ministries School of Ministry and Theology, where she became an Evangelist.

Carolyn had a captivating persona, which everyone gravitated towards. She welcomed you with her heart with no judgement. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed having family functions, especially Bar B Ques where she was the "Grill Master."  Carolyn loved to sit at Battery Park, read her Bible and enjoy the breeze. As her health weakened she was still present in leading the Prayer Line on a regular basis. When Carolyn was not on the Prayer Line she enjoyed her classic cowboy movies on TCM. Carolyn had a green thumb, she loved gardening; she had the ability to bring a plant back to life.

Carolyn was very nurturing to whomever she encountered. She was "Mom" to many people and affectionately known as "Mother Jackson" throughout the churches far and wide. She instilled and shared a lot of wisdom and schooled each person she had a conversation with and always ("told you how it was").

If you all know Mom CJ, you would know her signature response to What’s Up? would be "Jesus"!

Carolyn was known for her outreach and mentoring. She traveled to many States to do ministry with her Sister Apostle Robin Stuart (Jackson).

Carolyn Loved Life and Her Family and the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George H. Jackson and Fannie V. Jackson (Ewing); a grandson, Harold Jackson; a great-grandchild Denaiza; and siblings, Beverly Johnson, Jackie Hunt, and Dana Jackson.
