Frank Burros, age 79 of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2019, at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE.
He was born in Eastern Shore, Maryland to Frank Burros Sr. and Myrtle Stanford. Frank graduated from Chester High School in Upland, Pennsylvania and went on to serve our country in the United States Army.
Following his tour of duty in the Army, Frank was employed by Lukens Steel Mill as a reliable and steadfast labor worker for several years. He was also employed by Cheyney University as a custodian.
In his earlier years, Frank enjoyed playing cards and simply loved spending time with his family and friends. Frank was known to have a thousand and one friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Burros Sr. and Myrtle Stanford, his wife, Marva Burros and brother, James Burros (Esther).
Franks greatest legacy will be those he leaves to cherish his memory; three sons, Saval Burros of Catawba, South Carolina, Omar Hunt of Coatesville Pennsylvania, and Marquies Hunt (Patrisha) of Bear, Delaware; one daughter, Charmaine Hunt of Coatesville, Pennsylvania; one sister, Ella Mae Sanford of Chester, Pennsylvania, and one brother, Charles Stanford (Catherine), of Chester, Pennsylvania.
Frank also leaves to cherish his memory; nineteen grandchildren, three nieces, one nephew whom he loved dearly, and a host of great-nieces, nephews and friends.
He will live on in our hearts forever as we remember him with joy as well as sadness.
