Kenneth A. Stroude was born October 3, 1937 in Harlem, New York to the late Joseph Stroude and Winnerfred Gaynes. He transitioned this life on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 in Seasons Hospice.
Kenneth received his early education in the public and parochial schools of Harlem, New York. In 1995 he met the love of his life Kenney Mae Holley. They were married 15 years and together 22 years before he transitioned.
Kenneth was employed by Chrysler Corporation in Newark, Delaware. He retired after 20+ years of service. He was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship Baptist Church, where he sang on the male chorus, which he enjoyed. He had loved sports, but his greatest love was music. Chess was his favorite game. He became an avid Eagles fan since moving to Delaware.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Roderick Holley and brother, Joseph Stroude, II.
Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife Kenney May Holley-Stroude; two daughters, Karen Martin (Leon) of Kissimee, Florida and Cassandra Stroude-Williams (Tashumbae) of Nashville. Tennessee; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; special friends, James Green of Philadelphia Pennsylvania and Richard Robinson of Shreveport , Louisiana and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
His Celebration of Life Service will be 9:30 am on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Cornerstone Fellowship Baptist Church, 20 West Lea Boulevard, Wilmington, Delaware 19802; viewing 8 - 9:15 am only.
His burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery
