Kimberly Fayrene Lewis, age 55, was born on March 29, 1964 in Wilmington, Delaware to Beverly Hunter and the late Eddie Hunter. She departed this life on Monday, December 23, 2019.
Kim as she was affectionately called by family and friends, was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. She attended Delaware public schools and graduated from Christiana High School, with the class of 1982. In high school Kim enjoyed playing basketball and running track. She later attended classes at Goldey-Beacom College.
She held numerous jobs that included the United States Post Office, Delaware Charter and Delaware Park. Her most recent position was at Comcast, until her illness. She also enjoyed hanging with her great girlfriends, eating crabs, gambling, spending time with her 4 daughters and most importantly her 5 grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Kim was full of life, love, energy and was always doing something helpful and special to bring happiness and pleasure to other people, especially family and friends.
Kim leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Tyrone Lewis; her four wonderful daughters, Aunye' Bowe, Ambra Hunter and Ashley Hunter (her twins) and Alexis Hunter; a very special Goddaughter, Shanay Cassidy; five loving grandchildren, Ayanna Harris, Alijah Harris, Amari Wynn, Ashton Hunter and Arquis Bell; one god granddaughter, Anayah Cassidy; her god mother, Mary Ann Fulton; four siblings, James Hunter, Latonya Smith, Eddie Hunter and Ebony Hunter and a host of half brothers, half sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and very close friends whom supported her throughout her illness.
Her Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Congo Legacy Center, 501 West 28th Street, Wilmington, Delaware 19802; with a visitation from 12 noon to 1:00 pm.
