“Like sands through the hour glass, so are the days of our lives…”
On November 26, 2018, the lord called upon Sunshyne to be one of his beautiful angels, and peacefully she surrendered. Laurence “Sunshyne” Jones Collazo was born on February 12, 1986 to the late Laurence B. Jones, Sr. and Charlene Jones-Kellam and Kyle Kellam, Sr.
Sunshyne had a “sassy” personality that attracted people to her from all walks of life! Her sweet spirit and friendly smile would permeate the atmosphere of those whom she encountered. Sunshyne received her education through the Cesar Rodney School District in Camden, DE and continued her education as a massage therapist at the Harris School of Business in Delaware and at the Culinary Arts School in Philadelphia.
Sunshyne’s love story began in 2006 when she met Joey Collazo and later entered holy matrimony on February 14, 2017 which was one of her favorite holidays to celebrate. Sunshyne also had everyone to believe Valentines day was her birthday! Lol!!
She went on a two-week cruise with her mother and husband. They had a fabulous time! The ship was not the same when docked on shore. Just imagine Sunshyne riding on her motorized scooter. It’s this same bubbly spirit that everyone knew that we will all remember.
Sunshyne will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. Sunshyn leaves her precious memories to her husband Joey (whom she lovingly called Joel, her best friend), her loving mother Charlene Jones-Kellam, father Kyle Kellam, Sr., a sister Shondia Foraker, 3 brothers, Isaac Jones, Kyle Jr. and Kevin Kellam; grandmother Juliette Williams, Father-In-Law Juan Collazo, Aunts, Uncles; Special cousin Katelin Hardin; Godchildren Jeremy and Aquill (whom she loved dearly); nephews, Liam and Blair (know you always have a special place in her heart); Nieces, Azariyah Jones and Nyasia Smith, Ariya Wheeler (you were a breath of sunshine that I loved); Her nephew, Isaac (you were the center of Sunshyne’s Life, she never missed a game and was your favorite cheerleader). She also left behind a host of nieces, nephews, Brother-In-Laws, Sister-In-Laws, cousins and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m.on Saturday December 1, 2018 at Congo Funeral Home at North Chapel on 24th and Market.
