Norris J. (Buddy) Milburn, son of the late Norris and Elizabeth Milburn, was born February 5, 1950, in Wilmington, Delaware.  He departed this life unexpectedly Monday, December 3, 2018, in Season’s Hospice and Palliative Care (Christiana Hospital), Newark, Delaware.

He received his early education at Dunleith School and graduated from De La Warr High School in 1968.  While attending De La Warr, he received numerous medals for Track and Field.  He also trained with a community group in Martial Arts, earning a Black Belt in Karate.  After graduating from high school, he attended Goldey Beacon Junior College.

Buddy, enlisted into the United States Air Force and he was stationed at many bases throughout the country, and he spent his last two (2) years serving in Thailand.  After his duty in the Air Force, he was released from active service and returned home to Wilmington, Delaware.

In 1975 Buddy was united in Holy Matrimony to Kamphon Jeenwong and from this union, Narrinchai and Norrawit were born.

His professional life included a 40 year career at E. I. Du Pont De Nemours and Company (Edge Moor and Cleveland Plants), culminating his employment at the Wilmington Corporate Office. Buddy held several leadership positions in both Plant Manufacturing and Corporate Human Resources until his retirement in 2010.

In 2000, the family relocated their business from a small shop in Boothwyn, PA., to the Wilmington Riverfront Market with the opening of “Jeenwong Thai Cuisine."  In 2010 the family expanded their business at the Riverfront with a second restaurant, “Ubon Thai Cuisine."  Buddy had a strong work ethic and spent many hours achieving his goals as well as giving back to the community he served.

Buddy was known for his infectious smile and hearty laughter which brought joy to those who surrounded him.  He enjoyed jazz music, sporting events, caring for his beloved pets, and most importantly celebrating holiday dinners with family.  However, recently his greatest joy was spending time with his only grandchild, Joseph Chai (JC) Milburn.

Buddy, was preceded in death by his parents, Norris and Elizabeth Milburn, and his eldest son, Narrinchai H. Milburn.

Buddy leaves to cherish his memory:  his devoted wife Kamphon Milburn; his loving son, Norrawit and his wife Jody Milburn; Rachel Milburn (wife of his late son, Narrinchai); caring sisters, JoSandra Milburn and Marguerite M. Johnson (Steve), as well as a host of other relatives and longtime friends.
