Ronnie L. Miller, son of the late Mary E. Johnson and Herbert Waterman, was born on November 25, 1967, in Wilmington, Delaware. He departed this life on November 2, 2018. He received his education from Brandywine High School and Hodgson Vo-Tech School, where he majored in culinary arts.
He worked at Backstage Cafe, Lutheran Towers, James Street Tavern, The Hurricane Grille, Taco Bell and Walmart.
On January 7, 2009, he married Jennifer and from this union Robert, Jasmine, Aiyana, Joshua, Julian, Javon, Ashlee and Jeniyah were united.
Ron is a member of Holy Temple of God in Christ Church, where he was a founding member, a Deacon and Chariman of the Board.
He enjoyed and loved going to church, singing, fishing, crabbing, cooking, basketball, football, and traveling. He especially enjoyed family vacations and most importantly spending as much time as possible with his family. To know him was to love him. He was a bestfriend and confidant to many. He was a great husband, father and brother. He was truly a great man with a big heart.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Jennifer; four daughters, Jasmine Charles, Aiyana McGriff, Ashlee Miller and Jeniya McGriff; four sons, Robert Charles, Joshua McGriff, Julian Godwin, and Javon McGriff; stepfather, Eric M. Johnson; sisters, Linda Watson and Rochelle Wilkes; brother, David Miller; two half brothers, five grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends. He was a second father to Danielle Barnes and Edward Wanamaker and a close friend to John, Marvin, Luke, Tonio and Cleveland.
Funeral will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Grace Church, 900 Washington St., Wilmington, Delaware 19801, where friends may call from 11 am to 12:45 pm.
His burial will take place on Monday, November 12, 2018, at Riverview Cemetery, 3300 North Market Street, Wilmington, Delaware 19802.
