On the glorious day of Tuesday November 20th 2018, at Saint Francis Hospital, God called Stanley Tilghman home. He was born on June 05, 1952 to the late Sgt. Herbert and Frances Tilghman.
He grew up and attended public school and graduated from Howard High School. After graduation he joined the United States Air Force in 1974 until 1978. He worked for Phoenix Steel until the company shut down. Stanley began working for Shortlidge Elementary school as a custodian for a number of years. After working in the public school system, Stanley started working at Saint Francis Hospital working numerous jobs including housekeeping and laundry tech, where he retired after over 25 years of service as a supply tech.
Stanley Tilghman was his name but “Crow” was the man we came to know and love. Stanley was a kind and loving person who would always greet you with smile. He would give you the shirt off of his back. Everyone who knew him always had nothing but nice things to say about him. He was a joy to be around, and he enjoyed sharing good times with his family. He was the life of the party. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and didn't mind expressing his love for his team.
He leaves to continue the celebration of his life; his daughter Teah Wisher and 1 granddaughter Nevaeh Wisher. 1 brother Jerome Tilghman (Effie), 1 sister Amenia Jones, Aunt Shilda Demby (Joseph). A host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Three devoted friends Jasper Brown, Eric Wright, and Carlton Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents Sgt. Herbert and Francis Tilghman. 2 brothers Herman and Herbert Tilghman. 1 Sister Cathy Tilghman-Mccants.
