Antonio Lamont Cottingham was born on March 8, 1978 to Janice Cottingham and his adopted father, Hen-Du Thomas. He departed this life on February 18, 2020.
“Tone,” as he was affectionately called, received his early education from Marbrook Elementary School and graduated from A.I. High School. He even went on to study at Delaware State College. He was such an amazing guy and was loved by all who knew him.
He was a lover of motorcycles so much that he became Thunderguard of the North Wilmington Chapter. He was employed by Majestix Professional Cleaning and worked as supervisor. Tone loved his family and enjoyed being around his children and grandchildren.
Antonio leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Roshanda Baker-Cottingham “Kizzy,” children, Antonio L. Cottingham, Jr., Kye’Ron Z. Cottingham, Alon’Tae J. Cottingham, Antinasha Wisher, Genniara Cottingham, Minyone V.L., Kenny, Nasha Bush, Tisha Bush, Anjel Cottingham, Kae’Twon Cottingham, Kae’Von Cottingham, Da’Jah Baker, Maurice Wright, Jr., Dreshawn Baker and Zahirah Bland; his grandchildren, Emmad Brassfield, Eva Hutchinson and Ivory Hutchinson; mother, Janice Cottingham; father, Hen-Du Thomas; brothers, Josue Cottingham, Leo Remirez and Gerald Crooks; grandparents, James and Sarah Thomas; aunts, Denise Cottingham, Viktoria Thomas and Diane Thomas; uncle, Michael Thomas (Dortheia); brother-in-law, Robert Baker; mother-in-law, Estell Baker; father-in-law, Robert Benton; sister-in-law, Robin Baker; his Thuderguard brothers and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 6 , 2020, at Congo Funeral Home, 2317 N. Market Street, Wilmington, DE 19802. A viewing will be held from 9-11 AM. His interment will be held at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
