Carl Andew Tribbett, Sr.

October 23, 1949 ~ February 7, 2020 (age 70)

Obituary

Carl Andew Tribbett, Sr., son of the late Ellen and Charles Tribbett, went home to be with the Lord on February 7, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  

Mr. Tribbett owned and operated his barber shop, Underground Cuts, in Wilmington, Delaware for over 20 years.  He enjoyed wrestling, fishing, watching westerns on TV, and Jazz music. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Carl Tribbett, Jr., siblings, Don M. Tribbett, Edward L. Tribbett, and Randall Tribbett..

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Mary LeCompte Tribbett, children, Kikiwykima Ward, Darnell Dorsey, Kimberly Tribbett, and Salina Bordley; 4 grandchildren, Arthur "Rashad" Brown, Darnaye Dorsey, Sarenity Bordley and Charles Strickland, Jr; 1 great-grandson, Demarion Brown; 5 siblings, Alvin D. Tribbett, Charles E. Tribbett, Jr., Christopher Chimney, Dane Tribbett, and Charlene Wisher; 1 aunt, Mary Evans, 1 uncle, Wayne Tribbett; his step-mother, Lillian Tribbett; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth LeCompte; 3 sisters-in-law, Pamela Parlin, Constance Domestoir and Phyllis LeCompte; 2 very close friends, Benny James and Amin Hassan; other family and friends

His Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 am, Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Congo Funeral Home, 201 N. Gray Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19805, where viewing will be from 9:00-10:45 am.  

His burial will be private.
