Felicia Callahan, age 79, departed this life on May 5, 2020, in Wilmington, Delaware.
Felicia worked as executive corporate secretary for Chrysler until she retired. Her professional career started as the first black secretary to the City of Wilmington's Mayor, John Babiaz. She was a devoted Catholic of Saint Joseph and a member of the Eastern Stars. In addition to being the secretary she was the treasurer of Alban Park Association.
She was the daughter of Ida Mae Rogers-Stallings and John Pyle; also the step-daughter of Charles Walter Stallings.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her siblings, Sandra Rogers, Walter Rogers, Alexandria Whye, Diedre Rogers, Adrian Stallings, Frances Rogers, Everett Rogers, Abria Cooper, Tammy Rogers, Charles Stallings, Dana Stallings and Earnest Parson; her devoted cousins, Jimmy Smith, Charlotte Emory, Nora Ervin and Marie Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, god children, and special friends especially her extended family, The Dennings whom she loved dearly.
A private funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at Congo Legacy Center, 501 W. 28th Street, Wilmington, DE 19802. A public viewing will be held from 9-10:45 AM only. Her interment will be in Cathedral Cemetery.
