Guy Molock, Sr., passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019, after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 66 years, Inez M. Molock and his 3 children.
Mr. Molock was born on February 25, 1931, in Cambridge, MD, the youngest of 13 children. Educated in Delaware public schools, Mr. Molock graduated from Delaware State University (Undergrad) and The University of Delaware (Graduate studies), with additional Graduate Course Work at Temple University.
Mr. Molock was also a proud veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Molock was a highly regarded Educational Thought Leader and Community Activist, serving as a Teacher, Vice Principal, and Head Principal for over 40 years. He spent the latter part of his career as a dedicated Executive Director of F.A.M.E., Inc. for 20 years.
Mr. Molock served on the Boards of The Coalition to Save our Children, The Methodist Action Program and multiple other organizations. He and wife Inez, were proud to endow and support a named Scholarship Fund at Delaware State University. Mr. Molock was also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Inc. for 68 years.
Mr. Molock served as a longtime Lay Leader for multiple pastors at Ezion-Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, in Wilmington, Delaware.
Surviving Mr. Molock include his devoted and loving wife, Inez; 3 children, Guy Molock, Jr. (Sherry), Lorraine Henry (Michael), and Karl Molock (Julie); 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; one brother, Norris Molock (Senora); one sister, Thorris Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family, and friends.
His Celebration of Life Service will be at 6:30 PM on Monday, October 14, 2019, at Ezion-Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, 800 N. Walnut Street, Wilmington, DE 19801, where viewing will be from 4:00-5:45 PM. Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity service will begin at 5:45 PM.
Mr. Molock will be buried at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 15th in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, Delaware 19701.
