Jeremiah Qua’mir Redding better known as “JJ” to the public and “KING” among close relatives, son of Korin D. Redding and Jamal Winckler, was born on May 14, 2006 in Christiana Hospital, Newark, Delaware. He attended Bancroft Elementary and Bayard Middle School. While attending school, he was well-loved and remembered by all that he came in contact with, as he was known for his infectious smile.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Korin D. Redding (Shahir); father, Jamal Winckler; maternal grandparents, Charisma Redding, Dwayne Cropper, and Butch Ingram; paternal grandparents Billy Trotter (Jackie); maternal great grandmother, Bonnie Lee Redding White (Dean); paternal great grandmother, Lillie Winckler; siblings, Kaniyah C. Redding, Naki’rin A. Redding, Treynel O. Redding, and Siey Logan. His beloved and devoted aunt, Lanesha Serrano ( who was his #1 fan); great aunt, Maresa Redding; aunts, Chesma Winckler, and Talia Sparks; his uncles, Perrion, Daekevis Winckler, and Tylee Sparks; godfathers, Jair Houi, Darrell Ringgold, and Oliver Knotts; godsisters, Ena & Osha Knotts; godbrothers, Emmanual “Nore” Knotts, Elijah and Dafeer Brown; special cousin, Chyna White; first cousins, Aamani Stevenson, Quille and Qaadir Flowers; coaches, Wayne Jefferson, Starr, Big Mike, Rashaun, Rob and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and community members who loved him.
Funeral 12PM, Fri., May 15th at Congo Legacy Center, 501 W. 28th St., Wilmington, DE 19802; viewing 10-11:45am only. Burial, Gracelawn Memorial Park. Jeremiah's funeral service will be private. However, the viewing will be open to the public.
