Deacon Mitchell Fields, Sr., age 75, was born on January 14, 1945 in Canton, Mississippi to Allen Fields, Sr. and Maggie Fields. He went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at home with his loving wife.
He received his education in the public school system of Canton, Mississippi. He graduated from Roger High School. He was a member of Apostolic Temple True Church of Christ, Inc., where he served as a Deacon. He retired after working in the construction industry. Mitchell loved to go fishing, he also enjoyed watching WWE wrestling and westerns.
In addition to his parents Maggie and Allen Fields, Sr., he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Goss and siblings, David Fields, Mark Fields, Bessie Fields and Almeta Baker.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Doreen Fields; children, Velma Fields (Bert Smith), Elaine Fields, Mitchell Fields, Jr. (Candi), Sonja Fields, Kenric Fields, Tasha Warren, Tanisha Warren, Sheena Steed (John), Shane Warren, and Sylvester Warren; his siblings. Roosevelt Campbell (Tamara), Bishop Allen Fields, Jr. (Idella), James Fields (Alice), Maggie Adams (Apostle Theodore), Frankie Fields (Denise), CB Fields (Arnetta), and Patricia Fields; in-laws, Johnny Baker, Eugene Hanks (Deborah), Pamela Lazarus (Danny), Rose Warren, Shane Lewis (Ronald), and Kevin Warren (CaShana); 27 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
His Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 am on Monday, February, 10, 2020 at Apostolic Temple True Church of Christ, Inc., 215 Main Street, Stanton, Delaware 19804, with public viewing from 9:00-11:00 am.
His burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery, 3300 Lancaster Pike, Wilmington, Delaware 19805.
