Ronald R. Conquest, age 73, was born on December 27, 1946 in Bronx, New York, to Arthur W. and Josephine Conquest. He transitioned this life, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, February 6, 2020.
“Ron, Ronny Ron or Stinky,” as he was affectionately called by family and friends, received his early education and graduated high school in Bronx, New York. After high school he was drafted into the United States Army for Vietnam and fought in the Vietnam War. He received an honorable discharge in 1972.
He liked to collect coins, go shopping, have conversations, and motivate people. He was an avid New York Yankees fan.
In addition to his parents, Arthur W. and Josephine Conquest, he was preceded in death by his oldest sister, Colette Conquest.
Ronald leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Beverly Conquest; 6 children, Darrell Harris, Yvette Harris, Larry "June" Harris, Shameeka Harris, Nykia Harris and Brianna Harris; 1 brother, Arthur “Brownie” Wellington, III; 1 sister, Marva Conquest; 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
His Celebration of Life Service will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at Cornerstone Fellowship Baptist Church, 20 W. Lea Blvd, Wilmington, Delaware 19802, with a viewing from 8:15–10:15 am.
His burial will be at 10 am on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, Delaware 19701.
