Dawn Yvette LeCompte, the beloved daughter of Shirley Ann Rumsey and the late James Briscoe Sr., was born February 28, 1968, in Elkton, MD. She departed this life on July 17, 2018.
Dawn received her early education at Thompson Estates Elementary School and later graduated from Elkton High School. She later started a career as a home health aide. Dawn also had a passion for cooking, as she was known for her fish and chicken dinners. She also had love for dancing and listening to music. Some of her favorite songs were "Forever" by Jaheim and "Miracle" by Shirley Cesar. She loved visiting Atlantic City.
In 2003, Dawn met her husband Tim who she later married on July 22, 2006. The two would have celebrated 12 years of marriage this year. Together, they share 5 children and 2 grandchildren.
Dawn leaves to cherish her memory: her mother Shirley Ann Rumsey; her husband Timothy LeCompte Sr.; 3 sons, Jawan Givens, Rene Givens Jr. (Shavontae), Timothy LeCompte Jr; 2 daughters, Quadasha Johnson and Tyeisha King; 2 grandchildren Taliyah and Keyondre Burks-Givens. She also leaves 2 brothers, Jason Young Sr and James Briscoe Jr. and 1 sister, Angie LeCompte; her God-Mother, Claire-Mae Wilson; God-Daughter, Jada Christy; a special aunt, Marsha Banks and special cousins Sharon Bryant and Frank Banks; 4 devoted friends, Ardy Briscoe, Lynissa Christy, Shelby Hall and Sha Earl; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
Dawn was a loving, caring, beautiful person all around and had a heart of gold. She will be tremendously missed by many.
