Baine Family - I had no classes with Josh, but we were both members of the 1960 Conrad graduating class. I did not know him but knew him by sight. His obituary told the story of a man who had a great life and did his best. I wish I had known him in adulthood. My sympathy goes to his many family members, especially his children. I know you will have wonderful memories of him next to the hole in your heart. He would not want you to grieve forever, so do good things in his name. Sympathetically, Ginny Quigley Craig

On August 16, my sweet mother Savannah E,Lewis- Landrum known to many in Wilmington as Mrs, Essie M, Lewis- Fisher. Mother was a life long friend of the founders of Congo Funeral Home. Being such, they were the one and only choice for us to call when she passed on. They have always given top notch and respectful services to those whom rely on them. They treated us with such dignity and respect.. Those that received mother's remains gave to her the upmost respect. Praying with the family before taking her away. Comforting us throughout the process. Their wonderful staff patiently guided and assisted us. I don’t know how I can put into words every thing they did for us. From start to finish they were with us. They made sure that mother looked absolutely beautiful with the materials we provided. She looked like a sleeping beauty. Such professionalism and empathy given to us. The one and only Funeral home service that we know will give you the best Professional services. From The entire Fisher-Lewis Family...We thank you all for treating us and mother like family. May God continue to bless you all.

I would like to Thank the entire Congo Family. Because I was truly treated like family. My first time having to make decisions to bury a love one. I felt at ease. Everything was put forward to my family and I with no hidden fees. I received every days calls to make sure my family and I were ok and if changes needed to be made. Dates and times for services are fit to your family needs.. I will always be grateful to the Congo Family and looking to work with them in the near future. May God Bless you all. Sometimes you forget to thank the people who make your life simpler in many ways. Sometimes you forget to tell them how much you really do appreciate them for being an important part of our life. Gratitude turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity. It brings peace for the day, makes sense of the past and creates a vision for tomorrow. Although death changes everything, time changes nothing. We still miss the sound of his voice, his wisdom and advice, the stories of his life and just being in his presence. So no, time changes nothing and we still miss him as much today as we did the day he passed away. So we would just like to thank the Congo Funeral Home Staff for their support, professionalism and for just being there for us at our time of need Thank you

Me and my family recently had Congo Funeral Home handle the service for my mom. The service provided was unbelievable. I'am from New York and never have I experience such outstanding and Professional care and support from Congo and its staff. The Family Advocate/Funeral Attendant we had was Ms. Doris Moore. I told my Grandson how great she was and he said no Nana, she went above and beyond. Thank you Ms. Moore. All the sand at the bottom of the sea can not say or express how pleased me and my family was for the outstanding service given to us from Congo. Thank you so much Congo family and staff God Bless you all. To all out there the way to go is Congo. P.S. WE NEED YOU GUYS IN NEW YORK

Our family recently enlisted The Congo Funeral Home to handle the service and care of our loved one. I would not have gone to to anyone else but The Congo family. The special care and the professional manner of the Congo staff is beyond words, which is so needed at such a sad and confused time in a family's life. I will be forever grateful for the compassion shown to our family.
