George S. Terrell, son of George and Elizabeth Chambers, was born April 16, 1940, in Wilmington, DE. George departed this life October 23, 2018, in the Regency Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
George received his early education in the public schools of Wilmington, Delaware and graduated from Howard High School. Upon graduating from high school he went to learn the trade to be a Cobbler. He was employed at several businesses as a Cobbler at the Wilmington Train Station, 9th and Tatnall and Shoe Tech Repair and MBNA. He took pride in his work and was greatly respected for his craft. George loved sports; his favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Steelers and Boston Celtics, and he enjoyed the Olympics and Serena and Venus Williams.
George leaves to cherish his memory: Steve Byrd (son), Detra Anderson-Gibbs (daughter), Alphonso Kelly (son), Mildred Deputy (sister), Ronald Deaton (brother), Sharon Chambers (sister), Diamond Anderson (granddaughter), Charles Anderson (grandson);, Steven Byrd (grandson), Desiree Maldonado (granddaughter), Diamante Hicklin (grandson), Michael Taylor (grandson), Janaya Taylor (granddaughter).
Family that have departed this life before him: George and Elizabeth Chambers (parents); James Chambers, Richard Chambers, Janice Johnson, Larry Chambers, Gwendolyn Chambers, Michael Chambers (son).
