Michael Ralph Collins Sr. was born on January 24, 1945, to the late Easter Collins-Robinson and Dudley Collins of Delaware. Michael was raised by his parents in Wilmington, DE, where he was educated in the Delaware Public School System.
Michael worked as a truck driver for many years with a few different companies. Michael also taught karate in the 1970's and 80's where he gained the nickname "Karate Kid Mike."
Mike relocated to South Carolina in 1989 where he met his lovely wife Doran Anderson (now Collins). In South Carolina, Mike wore many hats. He was employed by The South Carolina Department of Transportation, several trucking companies, worked as a bails bondsman, and also had the opportunity to run and manage a restaurant.

Mike enjoyed barbecuing, but most of all, he loved cooking big dinners! Mike prepared big meals for his family, friends, and also cooked for the Mayor and other top politicians in South Carolina.
