Christopher Dwayne Drayton, son of Denise Drayton and the late Bobby Dillard, and step-son of Douglas McLean, was born on August 9, 1982, in Brooklyn, New York. He departed this life on July 21, 2017, in Newark, Delaware.
Christopher, affectionately nicknamed "OJ," received his early education in the New York City public school system, and attended Bushwick High School. He was employed as a meat carver at the Old Country Buffet in Newark, Delaware. He loved cars, dancing, movies, old TV shows,and listening to music. He was a very family oriented person who loved his family dearly.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory: 2 sons, Isiah Caraballo and Nicari Drayton; his loving mother and step-father who raised him, Denise and Douglas McLean; 4 sisters, Adrienne Drayton Smith (Shawn), Tiffany Farmer (Deron), Kimberly McLean and Ashley McLean; 2 brothers, Bobby Drayton (Jenell) and Douglas McLean, Jr.; 7 nieces, 7 nephews, 2 aunts, 3 uncles, a loving companion, Nichara Cole; other relatives and friends.
Funeral 7 pm, Tuesday, August 1st, at Congo Funeral Home, 2317 N. Market Street, Wilmington, DE 19802, with view from 5-7 pm. Interment will be private.
